Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2, 2026

This policy explains what EgyBAC collects, why, who it is shared with, and what you can ask us to do with it. Most of our students are minors, so we collect as little as we can and we never sell personal data.

What we collect

  • Account details: name, email address, username, and password (stored only as a cryptographic hash — we cannot read it).
  • Learning activity: courses opened, lessons completed, quiz and assignment results, and progress.
  • Purchases: what you bought and when. Card numbers are handled by our payment provider and never reach our servers.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and error logs, used to keep the service working and secure.

Why we use it

  • To run the platform: show your courses, record progress, mark work, and show results to your teacher.
  • To take payment and grant the access you paid for.
  • To keep accounts secure and investigate abuse.
  • To answer you when you contact us.
  • To comply with the law when we are required to.

We do not run advertising on EgyBAC and we do not profile you for advertisers.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers who make the service work — payment processing, email delivery, and hosting — and only what each of them needs. If you join a school or teacher organisation, that teacher can see your work and progress in their class. We also disclose data where the law requires it.

Students under 18

Accounts for younger students should be created with the involvement of a parent, guardian or school. A parent or guardian may ask us to show, correct or delete their child’s data by contacting us from an address we can verify.

How long we keep it

We keep your account data while your account is open. After you close it we delete or anonymise your personal data, except records we must keep for legal and accounting reasons — payment records in particular, which Egyptian law requires us to retain.

Security

Traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, and payment credentials are held encrypted and never displayed back. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but if a breach affects you we will tell you.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, correct it, or have it deleted. Email EgyBAC@inthekloud.com from your account address and we will respond within 30 days.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page always shows when it last changed, and we will tell you in the app if a change is significant.
